The watch is just as spectacular in quality and finish as what is advertised. Everything works as promoted. Watch bracelet was professionally sized, works and looks like a champ.

For a period of time, the Oceanus line from Casio represented the standard elite watch line internationally until the Edifice line was released and took over the Oceanus supremacy in the USA. This didn’t happen because the Edifice line is superior or anything like this, rather that Edifice watches cover a larger variety of needs and are generally much cheaper. While this is relevant for the USA market, the Japanese kept their preference for high-quality watches like the Oceanus OCW-G1100. This is why you should consider this watch if you want the best quality construction and materials that only Japan knows how to manufacture.
The GPS wave receptor combined with the Multiband 6 calibration system assure that the time on your Oceanus watch will always be accurate by the second, and along with the world time feature you can be sure as a business or pleasure traveler that you will never rely on other watches to tell you the time.
The design of the Oceanus OCW-G1100 is simply put incredible. It has a very jewelry-like yet professional look similar to a Rolex or a Breitling that adds status and class to the beholder’s overall image. The window and the blue toned bezel are made of the famous Sapphire Crystal that is shock and scratch resistant. The brushed stainless steel case and bracelet are making for a great fit on the wrist.
The screw down crown is protected by two stainless steel pieces on both sides and there is nothing really special about it. It just works as expected.
While the Neobrite luminous index hands and hour markers are great in dark environments it seems that the watch doesn’t feature any kind of backlight for the subdials or date window, thus making it more or less impossible to read them in no light. This is not such a great deal but I hoped that at least at this price tag, a shortcut like this wouldn’t exist.
The Oceanus lineup launched in 2004 as a luxury line of watches and as time passed the line maintained its class and quality; one of the best choices you can make regarding a luxury watch with advanced features.
